Preston Publishing Company was created in 1982 by Douglass P. Yadon to track the world's shipment and consumption of steel pipe & tube. His 40+ years experience in the pipe & tube industry included both marketing and operations.

Mr. Yadon elected to retire in December 2007. In an effort to promote the continued success of Preston Publishing Company, Mr. Yadon chose Rick Preckel and Paul Vivian to acquire Preston. This team extended the expertise of Preston Publishing Company into other areas. Some of their additional experiences include, but are not limited to: economic research, business plans, acquisitions and divestitures, and investor relations.
